BCLS Rendezvous 2024

Our very own Vernon Lapidary & Mineral Club has been chosen to host this year’s BCLS Rendezvous over May long weekend @ the Armstrong Fairgrounds!
To attend, you must be a 2024 paid BCLS member and also REGISTER with successful payment.

Important Information:
- Camping and event activities will happen at the Horticulture Building on the Armstrong Fairgrounds: 3315 Pleasant Valley Rd, Armstrong BC
- You must be a paid member to a participating BCLS Club before you can register for & pay to participate in Rendezvous.
- Registration and payment is required by May 1st to secure camping and the Sunday meal (registration form has all registration, camping and meal menu / prices).
- “Registration” ($15/ single; $25/ couple) gives you access to the Hospitality Table, field trips, demonstrations, vendors and the AGM.
- There will be vendors and demonstrators on site and field trips will be taking place on the Sat and Sun with sign-up sheets located at the registration desk (field trips are for event registered members).
- More details on the event schedule posted at later date!
- Rendezvous payments are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.
- E-transfer payments sent to vernonlapidarymineralclub@gmail.com when submitting a webform (OR cheque payment sent with physical registration form completed mailed to Vernon Lapidary & Mineral Club Vernon Lapidary & Mineral Club, 2704A Hwy 6, Vernon, BC V1T 5G5).
- IMPORTANT CAMPING DETAILS:
- Limited power available and priority will be given to those with medical equipment. Note: you will need long extension cords!
- This is DRY CAMPING! Potable water, toilets and showers are on site. No septic or waterhook ups.
- No fires – period! You can cook on a BBQ.
- Dogs are welcome but must be well-behaved and you must pick up after them.
- Member Collection Displays: We have 12 – 13 showcases to display your collections free to use by attending members and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Contact Carol at hilllonergan@yahoo.ca or phone 250-546-6215 to arrange.
- Volunteers & Donations NEEDED: We need lots of help to pull this event off and are counting on our members to help out – PLEASE GET INVOLVED!

- Rock & Bucket Auction Donations: Good quality rocks and rock related items (buckets of material) are needed for the Rock and Bucket Auctions. If you are able to donate items, please bring them on Fri May 17th between 2 pm and 8 pm to the Registration Table at the Horticulture Building.
- Home Baking Donations: The Hospitality Table will require donations of home baking! Please bring your treats (pre-packaged in small zip lock bags) to the Hospitality Table on Fri May 17th. Goodies and beverages will be available to purchase by donation, for registered members only. Contact Fran at 250-546-0177 for more information.
