Field Trip: Gravel Pit

Repeat Field Trip to the Vernon Gravel Pit this Sunday March 6th. Must be a paid 2022 Vernon Club or BCLS member to participate (not a paid member yet? You can sign up at THIS trip!).
Meet at the west end of the Vernon Walmart parking lot (near Taco Del Mar) for ~7:45am. Tony Heisterkamp is the Trip Leader and can be reached at fishatwork@telus.net or by phone (no text) at 250-351-5499 between 9 AM - 8 PM. This family friendly, car accessible, 10 minute drive and a short hike in event will LEAVE AT 8 AM SHARP, not 8:01 or 8:05 so come a little early for registration and instructions.
What to bring:
- Be sure to wear weather appropriate clothing as it could get cold/ wet (waterproof footwear ideal) and any snacks/ water you may need.
- Suggested equipment for this trip is: container/ bucket to carry your treasures, squirt bottle and a 3/4 prong long handled garden rake - nothing else needed, no hammers, no chisels!
- Bring lots of enthusiasm and excitement and HAVE FUN!
